Weclome to Emmersons Solicitors Family and Divorce Law Sunderland page. Jacqueline Emmerson our Managing Director, set up Emmersons Solicitors Family Law in 1998. As a Divorce and Family Lawyer she wanted to help the people of her home town. Jacqueline grew up in Whitburn and attended Fulwell Grange and St.Anthony's Girls' School before going on to study Law at Northumbria University and Chester College of Law.
Over the years Jacqueline has helped thousands of clients from the City of Sunderland and surrounding areas when they have had matrimonial difficulties. She has been heavily involved with serving and retired Service Personnel and their families. Jacqueline is an Honorary Solicitor for SSAFA, the armed forces charity. She also lectures to the volunteers of local charities in relation to Family and Divorce Law.

Tracey lives in the Sunderland area. Having grown up in Lancashire, Tracey loves the North East and particualry enjoys running her Sunderland Family Law Department which is only a ten minute drive from her home. Tracey attended Exeter University which gives an indication as to her academic ability. She leads our Family Department and is heavily involved in training and supervision of all those involved in Divorce and Family Law at Emmersons. She is assisted by Joanne Brown who also lives in Sunderland and enjoys only having five minutes to walk to work.
